10:10pm  A reminder that without Jim Bussey this website wouldn't exist.  Almost a year ago, I instant messaged him saying the URL "newromesucks.com" was available.  Jim took that and ran with it. He paid for the rights to the URL, got the hosting setup, and built this site from scratch.  He's kept it updated, conducted interviews, and spread the word to the thousands of visitors from around the world.

Anyway...I think the least we could do is nominate Jim as a Columbus Hometown hero!  Click here to enter the contest!  Remember Jim is a resident of Columbus, not Dublin as has been sometimes reported.

I also thought everyone would like to see a picture of New Rome's Trailer of Justice.  I think New Rome's town hall is pathetic beyond articulation, but decide for yourself...

10:07pm.  Hello folks, thanks to Jim for the opportunity to keep the site up to date!  I'm looking forward to the next march!  Here's a new bumper sticker that will be for sale at the march.  The price will be $1 each, which is right at our cost.  The contest winners will of course get theirs too!

1:34pm - It's been a few days since the last update because not much is going on.  I'm excited about the march!  The day is coming up fast.

I did find a editorial in The Dispatch about New Rome.

Editorial - WELCOME TO NEW ROME:  It's a place where unelected officials hold secret meetings to vote for more cops

Very good!  Though, what's this about 6 cops?  Is this cops that actually get paid?  They may just have 6 paid cops, but I have seen more than 6 during the meetings.

You are going to see more updates coming from our friend Michael (michael@newromesucks.com) as I relax and prepare for the march.  I will still check mail and respond so I will still be here.

7:20pm - Nice little vacation!  I come to find all these stores of New Rome!  What a great thing to come home to.

I was told by Michael (michael@newromesucks.com) that NBC had a story about New Rome and they showed pics of my site.  Anyone record this?  I would LOVE to get  a copy!

I FINALLY got my copy of the National Examiner with New Rome in it!  Doesn't mention me or the site, but they used my photos!  It's great!  1.5 pages.  The date is July 16th!  Watch for it in stores.

Article - New Rome pushing the limit

9:34pm - I just got back from the monthly meeting.  It was interesting.  For the first time I spoke when Jamie was talking about ODOTs ruling that their speed limit is illegal.  You can see it tonight on WBNS 10 TV.  I was interviewed during the executive meeting.  I left after since I got to say my part.

They also are going to hire 10 more auxiliary police so they can run 24x7.  24 police for 60 people.  Wow.  They must be going for some sort of record.  And get their justification!  People have been getting their cars broken into.  How's that for a riot!  What about them being so SAFE?!  What a joke.

Class Action Lawsuit

If you have received a ticket for going 45 and under in New Rome and would like to be part of the class action lawsuit please email me or call my lawyer, Kinsley F. Nyce, at 614-246-6173.  If you know someone who falls in this catagory please email me or call my lawyer, Kinsley F. Nyce, at 614-246-6173.  United we stand!

Brian Wolk was in the news again.  It mentions him trying to help the victims and getting beat down and then mention New Rome.  Funny how they come up when talking about traffic traps.

7:47am - Articles

Couple articles to share.

Article - NEW ROME VILLAGE COUNCIL MEMBERS SKIP SPEED-LIMIT MEETING

I bet Jamie looks forward to the day that he gets out of being their Mayor.  It's like making Bush President in Iraq.

Posted by Jim on 6/20/02

8:20am - No Meeting

Well if you haven't heard by now there was no meeting last night.  The Council refused to show up.  Imagine that.

I do have a couple things to share.

Article - New Rome speed limit illegal?

This is what the whole meeting was suppose to be about.  ODOT has said that New Rome 35 MPH speed limit is illegal.  What I don't understand is how they can't make them change it!  What a crock.

Article - Unconstitutional at Any Speed:  Municipalities Collect Millions in Illegal Fines, Abuse Constitution And Threaten National Security

Great article by WIlliam Grim.  Talks about New Rorulme, Brian Wolk, and the whole traffic and justice system breakdown.  Very good reading!  Thanks William!
